Better With Age: Ivangellys Perez

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re shining a light on creatives in our community whose heritages inspire them in their crafts.

Our twenty-ninth episode features Ivangellys Perez – an interior design content creator and the founder of Upcurated, a vintage prop house/photo studio filled with rare pieces from around the world.

Her passion for travel, secondhand shopping, and sustainability resonates throughout her Brooklyn loft space, which she frequently showcases on her social media platforms. Ivangellys describes her apartment as colorful, mid-century, and Bauhaus, with some newer, modern pieces. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Ivangellys embraces bright colors and plants as a homage to home.

Tour Ivangelly’s home and check out her favorite old things, including a rare vintage cabinet from 1932 that she found at an auction and Fritz Hansen PK8 Chairs – found on Kaiyo.
