Better With Age: Hannah Baxter

Our fortieth episode features Hannah Baxter – a beauty and wellness writer and consultant based in Brooklyn, NY.

Over her ten years in NYC, Hannah has been the beauty editor at The Zoe Report and the senior beauty editor at Coveteur. Now working for herself, Hannah regularly contributes to outlets including Allure, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour, and more. She’s also the founder of Anxiety Beer, a bi-monthly newsletter that destigmatizes conversations around mental health.

After years of manifesting the dream apartment, Hannah struck gold with a pre-war brownstone with ample natural light (a must for a Leo) on a tree-lined street in Bed Stuy. Her kitchen might not have drawers, but after seeing her custom pegboard solution, you’ll question why you’re not also hanging your pots, pans, & spoons. Hannah describes her design style as “cozy eclectic,” with no shortage of colors and conversation-starting pieces from her family, creatives she admires, vintage shops, and even the stoops of NYC (with a bit of cleaning and reupholstering, of course).

Tour Hannah’s home and check out her favorite old things, including a signed poster from the American jazz icon Dizzy Gillespie, gifted to his friend, Hannah’s Great Aunt Ruth, and a vintage chinoiserie armoire found on Kaiyo.
