Better With Age: Danny Seo

What if the people on MTV Cribs had invested in timeless statement furniture and decor instead of Bentleys and a fridge full of energy drinks? You’d get Better With Age, a peek inside the homes of notable designers and tastemakers who share a love of all things pre-loved.

Our twenty-sixth episode features Danny Seo, an environmental lifestyle expert who lives in a Victorian house from the early 1900s in Bucks County, PA. He describes his design style as “modern, eclectic, and clean” and believes furnishing a home should be a thoughtful task of selecting functional, timeless, and sustainable pieces.

At 12, Danny started a non-profit that became the country’s largest environmental activism nonprofit group for teenagers. Since then, Danny’s career has been rooted in the idea that style and sustainability don’t need to be mutually exclusive. He has been the host of an Emmy Award-winning TV show on NBC, authored twelve books and cookbooks, is the editor-in-chief of Naturally, Danny Seo, a national print magazine, recently acquired Rue Magazine, an online design publication, and is a regular guest on The Drew Barrymore Show. Fun fact: in 1998, he was listed as one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People.”

Tour Danny’s home and check out his favorite old things, including a foam art piece found for $30 at a vintage store and the same desk that Ralph Lauren has in his office – found on Kaiyo.
